Characters: Isaac, Scott
Date/Time: Between 3-5am
Setting: Deaton's office
Summary: After the events at the Rave and Mrs. Argent's attempt at killing Scott, the pack and Stiles have finally split up to get some rest; Erica and Boyd are holed up in the subway as the male Beta heals and Derek is off doing whatever he does, Dr. Deaton has gone home and Isaac is in charge of making sure Scott keeps on breathing.
Rating: TBD
Status: Open to Scott
Warnings: TBD
The whole night had been an absolute fail. Boyd had been shot and was slowly healing several bullet wounds and fighting off Monkshood poisoning, Jackson had gotten away and Scott was lying unconscious on the table, breath raspy and shaky and a chore with each intake. Everyone else had left, after they agreed to take it in turns watching over the teen, and Isaac had agreed to take first watch. Sleep evaded him anyway, and there was no way he was going to get any tonight.
He was sat close to the stretcher that Scott was lying on, arms by his side and chest rising and falling in a stuttering rhythm that had Isaac's concern growing with each falter. Deaton had assured them that he would heal, but the Wolf's Bane had slowed down his healing ability.
Isaac just wanted him to wake up.

His eyes dart around the room in panic as he takes in his whereabouts, but when he realizes he's at the clinic he gradually starts to relax. Something about the clinic makes him feel safe. And he senses someone else's presence beside him that isn't a threat. After a few choked coughs leave his mouth, he manages to find his voice, which sounds as weak as the rest of him.
"Isaac?" Scott blinks blearily at the boy. "Are you okay?" Because even when he's the one who almost died, he's more concerned about whether everyone else is alright.

He reaches out, carefully placing a hand on Scott's arm, trying to reassure the boy that he's safe and okay, but his question confuses him for a moment and Isaac's brows shoot up in shock. "Am I okay? I'm not the one who was almost killed." A beat, and his tone softens. "How're you feeling?"

"You're okay though, right?" He asks again because Isaac didn't answer his question, looking over the boy for any signs of injuries. "Did you get Jackson?"
no subject
The Beta scoffs, shaking his head. "Yeah. S'just a scratch. I'll be fine. Jackson... got away."
